Precipitated Chalk (Calcium Carbonate) – 50 g
This is a top quality food grade chalk in easy to handle fine powder form and should be stored in a dry place.
Precipitated chalk is used by home brewers and wine makers to reduce acidity in wine or cider. The addition of 7 g per gallon will reduce the acidity by around 1.5 pH.
When you add the chalk the liquid will foam and so you will need sufficient head space in your vessel in order to avoid any possible over-spill.
